Beschreibung
Ausgehend von der Anlegestelle von Platis Gialos im Süden von Sifnos fahren wir in südwestlicher Richtung durch die Meerenge von Kitriani und erreichen nach etwa 8 Seemeilen die unbewohnte Insel Poliegos.
Bei der Einfahrt in die Bucht von Faros bewundern wir den berühmten und viel fotografierten Leuchtturm von Poliegos, der 1898 auf etwa 130 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel gebaut wurde. Wir können in der Bucht schwimmen und das türkisfarbene Wasser genießen, mit großen weißen Steinen auf dem Meeresgrund und wunderschön gefärbten Felsen und Kieseln rundherum, sowie einem kleinen See, der wilde Ziegen anlockt. Dann fahren wir zum südlichen Ende von Poliegos und fahren in die Bucht Kalogeroi ein, wo wir anhalten, um in dem herrlichen Wasser zu schwimmen.
Nach etwa zwei Seemeilen fahren wir nach Nordwesten und erreichen den Strand von Mirsini, wo Sie wieder schwimmen können. Das Wasser ist hier kristallklar und immer ruhig und Sie können sich mit Blick auf die Insel Kimolos entspannen.
Wir fahren dann nach Nordwesten in Richtung des Hafens von Kimolos, bekannt als Psathi oder Psatha. Ein Halt dort ist empfehlenswert, wenn Sie einen Kaffee trinken oder zu Mittag essen möchten. Anschließend verlassen wir den Hafen von Kimolos und fahren in Richtung Nordosten zu Stränden wie Goupa Kara, Agios Minas und Prassa, die als die schönsten von Kimolos gelten.
