Episode description
In this episode, we are in Corfu where we go back in time and take a look at an artistic movement that began in the Ionian Islands in the mid-17th century and lasted until around the mid-19th century. Known as the Ionian School, it influenced the art of the Ionian Islands and later the art of modern Greece. We'll introduce you to the history of the Ionian School and explore how it influenced painting, literature and music in the region. And through it, we will recommend museums in Corfu, where you can still admire works by the leaders of this artistic movement.
