Highlights
- A scenic boat ride begins from Santorini’s main port, heading towards the island’s active volcanic area.
- Volcano Exploration: After a 10-minute ride, the boat reaches the small bay of the volcano. Passengers can hike along a short trail to the top, where they can witness smoking craters, sulfuric rock formations, and the distinct smell of brimstone. It’s a chance to experience the island’s volcanic energy up close and capture stunning photos
- Hot Springs & Mud Baths: The next stop is Palaia Kameni, known for its natural hot springs formed by past volcanic eruptions. The boat anchors near St. Nickolas Bay, where the water temperature ranges from 30-35°C. There is no beach, so swimmers must descend from the boat and swim about 30 meters to reach the warm, mineral-rich waters.
- After a refreshing swim in the thermal waters, the boat makes its way back to Athinios, concluding the volcanic adventure.
